A family of **100% polypropylene, spun-bonded cartridges** with true gradient density. P Series filters provide high dirt-holding capacity without imparting taste, odour or colour—ideal as sediment pre-filters in residential and light-commercial systems.
Sand, rust and silt can clog fixtures and foul downstream filters. Pentek P Series cartridges capture sediment efficiently while keeping water chemistry stable—so systems run longer and taste issues stay in check.
Manufactured from pure 100% polypropylene fibres designed for purity, so cartridges will not impart taste, odour or colour to the liquid being filtered.
Spun fibres form a true gradient density from outer to inner surfaces, capturing larger particles on the outside and finer particles inside for longer life.
Polypropylene construction offers superior chemical compatibility and is not prone to bacterial attack when used within the rated temperature range.

| Capacity | Not specified (depends on micron rating, length and application) |
| Rating | Nominal 1 µm, 5 µm, 25 µm (models P1, P5, P25 and length variants) |
| Flow Rate | Typical initial pressure drop for 10" cartridges at 5 gpm: P1 – 0.6 psi; P5 – 0.2 psi; P25 – 0.2 psi. 20", 30" and 40" cartridges exhibit proportionally lower ∆P at the same flow. |
| Dimensions | Outside diameter 2.38" (60.5 mm). Lengths: 4.88", 9.88" (10" nominal), 20", 30", 40". |
| Operating Pressure | Not specified (use within housing rating and pressure drop guidelines). |
| Operating Temperature | 40–145 °F (4.4–62.8 °C). |
| Connections | Drop-in cartridges for standard 2.5" diameter housings (10", 20", 30", 40"). No direct threaded conn |
| Certifications | Models P1, P5, P1-20 and P5-20 tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements only. |
| Applications | Sediment reduction in residential and light-commercial water filtration systems, including RO pre-treatment and general-purpose particulate removal. |
